Please find for sale an extremely rare Fulgurex Bentley 8 Litre model kit as manufactured between 1972 and 1975 of which only 65 pieces were ever made Worldwide.

This particular car is VERY rare as it is probably one of the last few, if not the last one that has never been assembled AND is complete with the original glass case (most have been lost or damaged and replaced with newer Perspex versions) which again is un-assembled.

Still in its original cardboard boxes (although showing signs of age as shown in the photographs), and packaged in the original protective foam with the parts that needed to be fitted still being in the original bags and sealed by staples.

The wheels, wheel arches, windscreen, number plates, lights, number plate etc. are the items to be fitted as these were removed at the factory prior to shipping to avoid damage in transit.

It also comes complete with the following which again are usually lost with time (as pictured):

A lithograph of a painting of the Bentley in profile in front of a manor house.

The instructional sheet for assembly for both the car AND the case.

The original documents cardboard sleeve.

The Certificate of Provenance (this car is serial numbered 12583 COMPLETE with its original plastic display sleeve.

ALL of which are not creased / folded unless as folded when new.

When originally sold in the early 1970’s, the retail price was circa £800, which at the time was a lot of money. Due to this high cost they were not able to sell the proposed entire release of 100, hence the 1 of 69, and which caused Fulgurex not to release the Bugatti T59 model which was shown in their catalogue.

The main features of the car are:

Nickel and brass construction
Opening bonnet (both sides) with superb interior engine detailing
Removable hood
Rubber tyres help on by threaded wheel spinners
Sprung wheels
Real leather interior detailing
Car Length of 40cm

Also present is the small screw driver supplied to aid completion of the model, as well as a small bottle of oil to lubricate the wheel bearings when fitted which is still sealed (both shown in the pictures).

Also included is an additional mirrored base that my father had made (shown at the top of one of the pictures) as the original mirror base was showing signs of corrosion around the edges but which is still present and is shown on top of the wooden base at the bottom of the picture (although the spare of original were never used as my father never built the car as his passion for steam engines always came first).

The items in green tissue are the glass sides and top needed to complete the case with the case uprights (x4) are wrapped together in the small cardboard tube shown.

As far as I am aware, the kit is complete as it was never made, and we have checked all parts of the packaging and re-bagged 3 very small parts that were found in the foam and all appear to be present and correct (however this is not guaranteed, sorry).

I am more than happy to ship this item to anywhere in the World due to its highly collectable nature, however this will need funds to be paid in full before shipping – please ask me for shipping quotes.

Additionally, I would prefer to send the parcel fully insured and if there is any damage whilst in transit I will not be liable, although the car will be wrapped to within an inch of its life in bubble wrap and foam chips prior to shipping so I do not envisage any issues.

Any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you
