Ride with track legends at Goodwood charity day

Classic and Performance Car - July 30, 2018

Exclusive charity track day at Goodwood offers the experience of iconic cars and ace drivers.

Places on the ‘world’s most exclusive trackday’ are being offered to just 25 enthusiasts to raise cash for charity. The Veloce event first took place at Goodwood last year, and for a payment of £1500 you can be driven around Goodwood in this year’s event by famous racing drivers in an array of spectacular cars, both classic and modern.

Drivers already signed up for the 26 September event include Darren Turner, Gerhard Berger, Andrew Jordan and Andy Wallace, while the 40 or so cars set to be available on the day include Jaguar C- and D-type, Alfa 8C, Le Mans Bentley Speed Six, the Lindner Nöcker E-type, Ford GT40, Bugatti Chiron, GTO Engineering 250 SWB and 250 Testa Rossa recreations, LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder. There will be plenty of other hotshoes on hand, and participants will be guaranteed at least three sessions in the passenger seat. At least one of them will be with one of the star drivers in one of the headline cars.

Organised by collector Peter Neumark and Chris Bucknall of V Management, the event promises a relaxed, garden-party feel. Jaguar design director Ian Callum will be attending, and will be more than happy to discuss his life in design. As well as the circuit cars, there will be a static display of equally rare road and racing cars. Event co-sponsor HR Owen will have Ferraris, Lamborghini and Aston Martins on hand for guests to test drive on local roads; the other sponsors being HFMC Wealth and Lockton Private Clients. Around 50 sponsors’ guests will also attend.

Every penny raised by the event will go directly to the charities Wings For Life (Red Bull’s spinal injury charity) and Hope For Tomorrow (mobile chemotherapy units).
