3 Litre Steering

The steering box must be examined every 2,500 miles and filled it necessary with Shell Motor Grease "R.B." or a fairly light grease of similar nature. The universal joint behind the gearbox should also be given attention at the same mileage, by squirting in oil through the annular space in the centre of the cover, from the oil gun fitted with the Tecalemit rigid nozzle. The pot joint at the rear end of the propeller shaft should be lubricated in the same way. At the same time the propeller shaft, which is hollow, should be filled by means of the oil gun nipple, which is near its front end.
