Information recd from Olle Ljungström about photograph above:

Obviously a lwb 8-litre Sedanca de Ville by Thrupp and Maberly - see absence of top frame to front side window. Cannot be a cabriolet as rear door is hinged at rear. Delivery photo by coachbuilder with their chauffeur in often used setting. Problem is that no T&M sedanca is recorded in the published building sheets. although several unidentified limousines, cabriolets and saloons exist. As coachwork descriptions are notoriously uncertain and change of specification might have occured in the process as well, possible candidates might be "limousines" YF5016 or YR5094, "cabriolets" YR5090 or YR5098, saloons and one landaulette excluded.

Information received from Matt Sysak about car in photograph above:

I believe this could very well be 8 liter chassis YM5031 with the original Park Ward Limousine body no. 3460. It is a July 1931, not 1928 as stated, delivery to Lt. Col. E. Helme. I disagree that the photo shows a Thrupp & Maberly. The main clue is the specification in Hay for this car including Ace wheel discs. Most importantly the specification provides for Andre duralumin bumpers which are clearly visible in the photograph. These bumpers were a very rare feature and I know of only one other vintage Bentley with them originally fitted, that be Speed 6 chassis no. SB2769 with a body by Saoutchik.
