1928 Bentley 4 1/2 Liter in Green with Green Interior, Chassis TX3242. This very well restored Bentley is a beautiful example of the classic Le Mans Tourer style coach work. Originally sold with a Gurney Nutting Sedan body, it was refitted with this handmade Replica body in the 1960s by some of the most knowledgeable experts in the UK. It is fitted with Engine No. AB3363 which was originally the engine of a spare car at the 24 hours of Le Mans. An extensive, sympathetique restoration was performed just five years ago and the car has not seen very much use since. Mileage: 15695.

"This Le Mans type Bentley must have seen a bit of action since its build date. The rebuild as she is now is first class and her credentials even include under her bonnet a Team Bentley race engine from Team driver Bentley boy Humphrey Cook’s Le Mans road car.

Although stripped down when found in the 60s she was purchased by a garage owner who patiently and superbly fully rebuilt her as a Tourer. After his demise, I bought this car in running order but felt it needed to be brought up to Le Mans spec to appreciate the historic engine which I found had been fitted.

Please remember in the 70s there were no new bits so when spares were bought they were always real and if you had a better... say engine or gearbox maybe because yours worn out you simply bought or swapped. Oh, such fun days in that Bentley world.

The spec as now:
- Completely rebuilt engine by R. C. Moss. Just 2000 fun miles since rebuild in 2005.
- Total mechanical check over by R C Moss so you can take it from me if it needed fixing they would have done it also in 2005.
- Fitted with overdrive so she cruises in the 80s and beyond.
- New wheels and tyres.
- Top quality trim with well upholstered seats (yes, tell Madam she’s very comfortable to sit in) and all the exciting Le Mans bits like large instruments even the poor sighted can focus on (don’t worry this is an age thing ).
- Bonnet straps, stone guarded radiator with Le Mans cap. Le Mans petrol tank so you can drive London to Paris without a stop, just like Euro Star.
- Most importantly I’ve left to last. This is one of the best 4½ litre Le Mans you can drive. She’s quick, comfortable and definitely looks the business.

Price. POA"

"Fully rebuilt in 1997 this is a super Bentley with full Le Mans spec and also having fitted a real team Bentley engine from the period, so not just looks but a real soul too.

This Bentley can claim excellent performance born out by its last owner who has enjoyed this car for some 19 months and covered some 2500 miles on fun trips and rallies.

Originally a sports saloon (and we have a fab period shot of this in the extra pics page) turned into a tourer a few years later and now as a Le Mans.

About 2 years ago she was given the full once over by Bentley specialists R. C. Moss and there's plenty of invoices to show how thorough they were in this work.

On the button and ready to go. Fitted with overdrive. Highly recommended."

"Rebuilt in 1997 this is a superb Bentley LeMans car.

Recent extensive work by Bentley experts R.C. Moss has further enhanced this rather smashing car. Good history and fitted with a genuine team Bentley race engine. Could one ask for more?"
