This car was purchased by Christopher (Kit) Power in 1958.

"This car has been owned by me for 60 years."

Attended the 25th anniversary of Le Mans in 1958.
Still with original body, trim etc.
All "matching numbers" and totally original. Still runs really well.
Repainted (from BRG to dark blue) in 1959 and still pretty good.
Approx 150,000 miles from new and service record from 1935.

"I am very interested in these 1937 photographs. The car changed hands in 1937 from P G Thin of Broadway to S Carr of Bristol so I'm not sure who was the owner when the photos were taken." - Christopher (Kit) Power, current owner (since 1958) - Nov 3, 2018

More Info: According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1271 with a standard Sporting 4-seater; scratched aluminium / black; 5/1926.

Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1271."

"Your record gives the body number as 1271. I think the VDP records must be wrong because the brass plate on the door carries the body number A672 and also has the correct chassis number." - Christopher (Kit) Power, current owner (since 1958) - Nov 3, 2018
