Dealer Notes:
RT 1533 is a 1926 3-Litre "Red Label" speed model with its original Vanden Plas fabric covered 4-place body, sloper carbs, etc. The same owner for the last 25 years has enjoyed driving the big sump car on many tours including the 2000 Bentley Drivers Club European Tour covering 2,500 miles up and down the Alps. Recent work includes new wire wheels and tires, new brakes and brake drums, new clutch, complete engine rebuild including Phoenix counter balanced crankshaft and rods, Arias domed pistons, hardened valve seats, etc. New leather interior and wool carpets. A real - not built up from parts - car that you can enjoy for the next 25 years.

"This car was built by Bentley Motor Company before Bentley was absorbed by Rolls-Royce. As such it is regarded as a 'Vintae Bentley.' In 1927, a 3-Litre Bentley won the 24-hour race at Lemans, France, which helped to establish the reputation of Bentleys as real competitors.

Captain W.O. Bentley didn't ignore the details of the car, which included the winged red Bentley badge on the radiator, and the functional antidazzle devices on the large headlights. This car is a 'red Lable' Speed Model and still carries its original Vanden Plas fabric-covered body.

The Speed Model was built for motorists who liked to tear it up on the often muddy and unpaved open roads of the day. The current owners of this car participated in the Bentley Drivers Club Euro 2000 Rally from England to Lake Como, Italy and back. A total of approximately 3,500 miles with no problems. The car was also driven to this event from Tampa, Florida."
