"I acquired 6.5 litre Chassis BX2418 - the "African Queen" (in Canada) from Alan DeCadenet in 1980. I would be interested to find a photo of this car with its original Gurney Nutting body."

1971

This car belonged to a certain Nick Scarf, who owned a bookshop in Goring-on-Thames, UK. I saw this car in 1971 when on a trip to the UK and took some photos of it. It would be interesting to know who the current owner is. Regarding the "Speed Six" owned by Nick Scarf, the registration number was YH 9454. I see it may have spent some time in Canada (BC) with a subsequent owner and may even have come here to South Africa. Beyond that I have little extra information. I have a couple of framed photos of it in my garage which I will endevour to pass on to you.
