The Vanden Plas entry in the 1927 Olympia Motor Exhibition Catalgoue reads as follows:

6½-Litre 6-Cylinder BENTLEY car.
"Long chassis, 12ft 6in, fitted with Vee Front Interior Drive Limousine Body by Exhibitors: Constructed to accommodate 7 persons, 2 on front seat, 2 on occasional seats, and 3 on main seat; when only 2 are required a centre Arm Rest is provided to suit this accommodation. The occasional seats are of Barker Empire type, which fold up compactly in the front lining boards, the bottoms of which are veneered in Walnut to conform with the rest of the Polished Woodwork on the partition, doors, waist rail, etc.

The door windows are Frameless Glass, all made to fall, and fitted with Automatic Window Lifts, except the partition, which is made to slide; Triplex Glass is fitted throughout with interior fittings of Ivory and Silver to match the Cloth Upholstery.

The interior fitments consist of Hat and Parcel Net, Silk Blinds, Down Pillows, Sheepskin Rug, and Burovox Telephone, and the exterior is fitted up with Scraper Mats, Trunk, Luggage Grid, Screen Wiper and Sheffield Simplex Dipping Headlights.

Ground clearance 9 ins. Overall Length 17 ft 6 ins. Width 5 ft 9 ins."

Brian Smith's Vanden Plas book records the exterior colour as cream.

  More Info: According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1414 with an enclosed drive Limousine with Barker Empire occasional seats, 3 piece windscreen, exterior fittings brass, inrerior silver and ivory; £2,500; 1/1928.

Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1414. Olympia Show car."
