My late father TE Fonternel bought PY 1489 in 1979. I inherited the car after his death in 2007.

"Enclosed are copies of two photographs of my grandfather's Bentley, PY 1483. It was taken in the early 1950s, I think, in Bury St Edmunds on my grandfather's farm. My grandmother sold the car in 1962 for the princely sum of £152!! I hope these are of interest, and if I can provide any further information please do not hesitate to contact me."

"The name of my grandfather who owned the car was Mr Stanley Hawkins, he is the gentleman standing next to the car in the photograph, with his wife Mrs Lily Hawkins who eventually sold the car."
