"Found this cartoon that I had drawn as a present for my late father by Guy Allen. Thought it would be fun to add the history of the car."

"My late father Patrick Kelly acquired this car in 2007 from Stanley Mann. It has been maintained by Graham Moss since. My father drove it twice down to St Tropez from his home in Henley on Thames."

"I owned this car for a few years and will post some photos.

Best I recall I sold the car around 2009 but do need to check. I have got a copy of the registration, the original propshaft (before the o/d conversion) plus a rather nice photo of it from the film."

A well sorted, stunning looking example. Short chassis with all the right bits - 40 Gallon Le Mans fuel tank, louvered bonnet, overdrive, Feeny & Johnson brake servo, correct sloper carbs etc. Very sound driving car that has a lovely exhaust note. The car competed in the Challenge America Race from Laguna Niquel to Atlanta coming 4th in the pre-war class and it won the award for the oldest car to finish. It also won the best of show award at the Briggs Cunningham Museum. Since then it has had a complete engine rebuild by Roger Cook. Last major work was at Elmdown Engineering about 2,000 miles ago when it had a major service, brake overhaul and new clutch.

Colour - Green; Drive - RHD; Type - Cabrio / Roadster

Quoting Stanley Mann from Stanley Mann Racing:

"1929 Bentley 4½ Litre Short Chassis Le Mans

Restored some 20 years ago this very fine driving vintage Bentley has now added a little patina to it's résumé.

This vintage Bentley was restored for a true Bentley enthusiast (Jeremy Lloyd) in the 1980s.

We did a lot of work on the car before selling her to another Bentley enthusiast Howard Bevan. In fact, we've kept tabs on this one because she's always been a super car.

In 1996 she starred in the film 'Full Throttle' with Rowan Atkinson. I admit she did get top billing but never the less gave us a great shot which you can see on our extra pics page of this car (DVD is available).

Fitted with overdrive, big racing instruments and the big Le Mans tank. Louvered bonnet. You know I'm getting excited just reading this so now I'm off for a drive."

"My father, Mr. John Mitchell owned this car and my husband and I were driven to the church in Little Marlow, Buckinghamshire to get married in July 1984. My husband and father shipped this car to America to race in the Challenge Amercia Race. I would very much like to know where this car is now if you have any information on who might own it.

My husband and I watched the film 'Full Throttle' last night and spotted this amazing car in it! My father would have sold it to Stanley Mann as they moved house in 2000. He owned and restored quite a few vintage bentleys when he was younger. He is a very talented man."
