This car is marked as 'SOLD'

"1922 Bentley 3/4½ Ltr speed model sports two seater
Registration Number: CAS 616 Chassis Number: 1122 Engine Number: DE 1213

One of the fastest 4 cylinder vintage Bentley around.
Raced and road used over many years infact Iraced and used her as my daily transport in the early 70s (so a well known Bentley to yours truly)
Fitted high performance 4.5 ltr engine with all the sexy upgrades.
D type close ratio gearbox.
Uprated brakes so she can stop as well as she goes.
Lots of very important bits on the dash like big rev counter.
Sounds good give me a call
Fantastic fun to drive and just at home on the road or track.
Painted Bugatti blue (well what else as she is lighter than the average vintage b)
A must come and drive
Now at the Fruit Farm"

The car in above photographs has been identified as Chassis no. 1122 by John Birrane.

"This car was known as the 'Brogdon Bentley' as it was built as a 3 litre special by John Brogdon. I bought the car in Wales and used it as a 3 litre for several years both as a road car and for competing at events such as Hillclimbs and the circuit race meetings. The engine was upgraded to a 4½ Litre around 1990 and the car was successfully campaigned at VSCC and BDC race meetings, notably winning the Gordon Alexander trophy three times. the body was replaced with a lighter narrower design specifically for racing and painted blue.

The car was sold in 2000 and still competes today but with a different registration No." — John Birrane (Former owner), Mar 29, 2013
