My first car purchased from George Burton when I qualified. Passed to my son Tim Newton (Car assembly manager at Williams F1) as present owner.

Campbell Orde, Chief flying test pilot Armstrong Siddley when painted Air Force Blue. (Now repainted that colour)

J B Knight Macclesfield who also owned at that time YW5758 'the works 500 mile 4½ litre'. Both entered first BRDC race meeting Silverstone but PD 6469 in RTA at Weedon on way 'After many months the insurance company paid the full insured value of £65'

- Body Gurney Nutting.

- Original VDP was replaced after earlier accident Was shown in log book as scratched aluminium.

- 4mm taken off block in earlier years and taller pistons fitted.

- Brakes converted to hydraulic 1956 and Clayton Dewandre booster fitted.

- Engine oil reservoir booster fitted to provide lubrication from moment engine is fired up

- Car still on 21 inch wheels.

- Electric fan fitted to rebuilt radiator in 2003.

  More Info: According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 3265 with a sporting 4-seater; scratched aluminium and green; 8/1923.

Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 3265. "1/26 - 1926 mods carried out." Hydraulic brakes."
