1930 Bentley 4½ Litre
The vin # is KL3583 and the engine # is KL3581. Both numbers including the engine and chassis are original to the vehicle. It was purchased new by Lady Reynolds in 1929 with a Freestone and Webb Salon Coach. Lady Reynolds purchased the vehicle for her son who was off to University and presented him with the car as a present. After receiving the car the son opted to return the car to Bentley and ordered a Freestone and Webb Racing Skiff Coachwork to replace the Salon body. We have quite a bit of excellent documentation as we purchased it from a good friend who owned the car for 34 years prior to our purchase.

The original Chassis was shortened to (9½) when the Racing body was fitted in 1930. The vehicle is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition and we would not hesitate to show the vehicle at nay venue or even tour the car on rallies such as The Colorado Grand as well as any of the other vintage car driving event available.

Sold goes to Alaska!

"The first owner, Lady Reynolds, was my grandmother. The info posted by San Diego Collection is incorrect. She sold the car after about one year. None of her sons went to university, and it was not sent back to Bentley Motors for a body change. All of those changes must have happened at a much later date. I will send you photos of the car when new." — Martin Trentham (Grandson of former owner), April 17, 2018
