American Road Racing The 1930's by Joel e. Finn includes many pictures of DE1209. After seeing some of them it is a wonder it is still so well preserved. However it could not have a better caretaker then Dr. Simeone — his wrench skills are as good as his surgical skills.

  More Info: According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1303 with a standard Sporting 4-seater; maroon; 8/1926.

Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1303. Reg QD 4999 - "Q" numbers put on Visitors cars/cars for export. Chrysler crown wheel and pinion fitted. In USA."
