"This 1924 Bentley 3-Litre is owned by Ralph and Jane Round. They combine an interest in Vintage British iron (they also have a couple of Rolls-Royce) with cattle ranching near La Junta, Colorado. Their car, serial number 418, was one of approximately 485 cars delivered in 1924. For a 65-year-old, it is pretty much original.

The engine has been rebuilt and the patented Weymann fabric bodywork has been replaced. Ralph is quick to out that the car is not completely "stock." For example, the impressive headlights are P-100 rather than the Marchals P-80s originally fitted. He has not yet been able to find the latter. Also the radiator with its "Black Label" is that used on the 4 1/2 Litre model. The 3-Litres used a "Blue Label" on the standard model whereas the Speed Model was distinguished by its "Red Label." In tracing the history of this particular car, the Rounds have found that it has not done any "official" racing.

Nonetheless, it is not difficult to imagine this handsome brute tearing hell-bent down the Mulsanne straight in pursuit of yet another Le Mans victory."
