"For those who feel the need for matching numbers well this one has it... All numbered components i.e. chassis, engine, steering box, front axle, back axle, dash board plate, bonnet all show XL 3117.

"I have a poor photo black and white taken of this car when it was owned by my father in 1952 or so. He told me he had bought it for GBP100 and thought he was very clever when he sold it the following year for GBP112!

The registration number is easily seen.

I remember it as a Doctor's Coupe, we lived at that time on the Wye Valley in Monmouthshire, UK. I understand it was at one time owned by Dorothy Paget, my father mentioned that."
