In you latest newsletter you have details of a painting by Roy Nockolds. Roy painted a picture of my car in the 1960s and I wonder if you or any members know of the whereabouts of the picture. The painting was last sold at Bonhams about 5 years ago.

  More Info: According to original Vanden Plas Coachbuilder records, this car was originally fitted with Body No. 1416 with a Sports 4-seater, 3-door; polished aluminium / black / red; 10/1927.

Michael Hay, in his book Bentley: The Vintage Years, 1997, states: "Vanden Plas body no. 1416. Rebodied as drophead coupe by Ranalah now Vanden Plas replica by Meynell Phillips. 1/30 banjo changed. 4/33 rec f/axle bed fitted. Eng now? - ST 3007 in ch. 487."
