"My grandfather James Coates owned this (BXB 8) Bentley for many years, it was sold upon his death in 1981.
I would like any information about this and other Bentleys he and his daughter owned. I have contacted various dealers with no luck. Then last night I googled BXB 8 (again) and up came your page with a reference to the registration number change to YR 3263 and all the details. I will get back to you with all the information I can find about this and other vintage Bentleys my family owned (there was at least three)." |

We received the following from Christopher
Jonas on January 6, 2010:
"The body was built by HM Bentley
in 1935, and is the only body like
this. Johnnie Green in his book says
of the car "Does the design of
the body owe anything to Mercedes".
It is a fantastic fast car." |
