1928 Bentley 4½ Litre Vanden Plas Style Le Mans Rep
A superb matching numbers example of W.O Bentley's iconic 4½ Litre fitted with a Le Mans Vanden Plas Style body. This wonderful Bentley has a fascinating history and its large file contains numerous invoices and correspondence going back to the 1960s. The engine has been "bullet-proofed" and the car is a delight on the road. Ideal for long distance rallies and with values continuing to rise, this Bentley is an ideal opportunity for investment as well as adventure.

I have just purchased Chassis No. AB3363. The following information was provided to me by Martin Chisholm: The car appeared in a great classic English film "A School for Scoundrels" and was then bought from the film studio by the last owner who had the car for 40 odd years. It is all matching numbers, C Type gearbox, self-wrapping brakes and plate clutch. The body was fitted in the late 50's or early 60's and the engine has been re-built for the current owner who has hardly used it. He also re-covered the body and re-upholstered the interior. I am the current owner and am in the process of making a Le Mans replica. It is fitted with a short body so is perfect for mounting the Le Mans style fuel tank straight onto the back.
