8-litre YF5004 was for sale by P&A Wood on behalf of owner 2005-2006. Unsold it returned to owner. It was bought by Stanley Mann early 2007. Long wings were changed to cycle wings early 2007 when owned and sold by Stanley Mann. These photos show the car with the long wings.

These photographs were taken at the owner's garage in Derby, England, September 2006.

1931 Bentley 8-Litre Replica Sports Tourer
Coachwork By Elmdown Vintage Automobiles, Ramsbury
Reg. No. GK 8447; Chassis No. YF 5004; Engine No. YF 5004

Engine, six-cylinder, overhead-camshaft, monobloc, bore 110mm., stroke 140mm., capacity 7,982 c.c.: magneto and coil ignition: four-speed gearbox, right-hand change: spiral bevel final drive: footbrake on four wheels, handbrake on rear wheels: suspension semi-elliptic front and rear: wheelbase 12ft. 0in.: tyre size 7.00 x 21.: price new in England approx. £3,000

One of a hundred 8-litre Bentleys made in 1930 and 1931, this example has been rebodied in replica Vanden Plas sports tourer style by Elmdown Vintage Automobiles (H.J.K. Townshend). This work was undertaken in 1971-2 at a cost of approximately £5,700: bills are available. The mileage since completion is 2,500. The coachwork is of three door fabric type with cellulosed bonnet and wings, and equipment includes hood, fold-flat screen, tonneau cover, top-opening rear trunk, and dual, side-mounted spare wheels. The handbrake lever is externally mounted. Mechanical modifications are limited to an electric fan, though flashing direction indicators and hazard warning lights have been incorporated. Condition is described as outstanding in all respects.

I was recently very kindly given a disc of old car show photos from the mid to late 70's which were found on glass slides in a skip and then scanned to disc, I thought i'd uploaded them to here, there are over 1100 images so it could take me a while!"
