Daniel van Lierde, owner of Chassis No. HF3193 says:

"I have the original invoices of the car from Bentley, bill of lading of the car up to Buenos Aires, insurance of the car for the freight, bills of Bentley when the car was rebuilt in 1931 giving the specifications of engine and body, etc.

The car lies in my collection of mostly Argentine race cars, and today remains in Italy after participating in the Mille Miglia (1986 (car # 86), 2003 (car # 40), 2006 (car # 32) and in 2007 (car # 31)). I plan to be at Goodwood (Great Britain) with HF3193 by the end of August and enjoy a small rally in England with some friends.

Afterwards I will take part in Mille Miglia 2008 and come back to Argentina. I am a member for more than 25 years of the Classic Car Club of Argentina (founded 1965), and also the Sport Car Club of Argentina (founded 1948)."

"Since new and still original today, the car has had three modifications done in 1930 by first owner, Forrest Greene… The car remains with his original chassis and engine. Also radiator, gearbox, dashboard, etc."

1928-1954

Owner: Eric Forrest Greene - First owner has always been Mr. Eric Forrest Greene, who also owned at the same time a 3 liter Bentley (now lying in Great Britain). He owned both cars and raced them continuously, as he did with Bugatti and Delage (1500 CM3, the nicest and difficult one!). Chassis No. HF3193 set an Argintine Flying Kilometer Record of 184 KM/H in 1932. It was raced extensively up to 1934. Mr. Greene died in a car accident in 1954 during a race with an Aston Martin DB3 in the: 1000 Km de la ciudad de Buenos Aires.

Car was special ordered with:
* High compression engine
* Special gearbox
* 6 1/2 hood
* LeMans suspension with Telecontrol
* LeMans driver seat
* Special dashboard

Eric Forrest Greene carried out three modifications in 1930: He changed (1) the position of the spare wheels from tail to the front fenders, giving space to (2) a larger tank (LeMans style), and (3) changed the material of the body from aluminium to vinyl. As you may notice, he liked to race.
